What is the EU AI Act?
The EU AI Act is the European Union's law on artificial intelligence. It entered into force in August 2024 and applies in stages: prohibited AI practices have been banned since February 2025, and rules for general-purpose AI models have applied since August 2025. The obligations for high-risk systems were postponed in 2026 and now apply from December 2027 and August 2028 respectively. For most small and medium-sized businesses, transparency obligations and the AI literacy of their own staff matter most. prexma helps set up AI projects in line with the rules from the start. We set up your AI project in line with the rules.
